DACS Meets Art360 Foundation: How can artists change the world?
- 5 November 2021, 4pm
- Online event
A Zoom encounter with Richard Demarco on art, ecology, politics and Joseph Beuys
Richard Demarco wants to leave a legacy of hope and inspiration for the next generation but as world leaders gather for COP26 he, like many others, believes that the visionary potential of art to create a sustainable habitat for creativity has been lost.
The conversation was an opportunity to hear how, from the 1970s onwards, Richard Demarco worked with a number of artists including Joseph Beuys to develop an ecological orientation to artistic production.
About DACS Meets
DACS Meets was a series of conversations between artists and leading cultural practitioners. These conversations formed part of DACS’ public programme, showcasing the ways in which artists continue to play a unifying role in our social fabric.
